1 – Sublimation Printing

Sublimation printing is a technology of printing ceramic & porcelain cups at high temperatures so that it helps the printed “content” stick to the ceramic surface.

Pros:

– Simple and quick process. (15 minutes)

– No color restriction, can print whichever colors and images as request. 

– Printing even just for one cup. 

Cons: 

– Need to process the enamel of ceramic & porcelain cups

– Limited model of ceramics.

– Requires high skill and ingenuity.

You should choose the sublimation printing method to print images on porcelain cups when:

• Print in small quantities (1-100 cups).
• Print images of individuals and groups on cups.
• Print in many colors, color transitions.

2 – Screen Printing 

Screen printing on ceramics with reasonable cost and quick timing is the most used printing technique.

• The printed pattern is easy to peel off if been scraped vigorously.
• Can only print 1-3 monochrome colors

Ceramic transfer printing technology is a method of gluing decal paper with the image printed on porcelain, then letting it dry and putting it in a kiln at a temperature of over 900°C

Pros:

• The printed content’s quality is extremely good, almost impossible to peel off.
• Can print in large quantities easily.
• The product has beautiful & even color.

Can print alloy, 10k gold, silver emulsion, and gold emulsion logos. 

Cons:

• Printing costs are higher than other methods. 
• Most units only accept printing in large quantities.
• Difficulty in color gradient printing – The number of colors is limited.
